Mr. Brian Miller
Brian Miller is currently the Assistant Director of the Plymouth Canton Marching Band and free-lance musician in the Detroit Metro area. During the 2002 -
2003 school year he was an Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Grand Valley State University and interim Director of the Plymouth Canton Marching Band.
Brian graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters of Music degree (2001). Highlights of his playing career include performing with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Chamber Winds and Brass, and the Wichita State University Faculty Brass Quintet, and numerous orchestras in the Detroit area.
After attending the University of Michigan he worked as the Trumpet Teacher at the Interlochen Arts Academy University of Michigan All State Band and Orchestra Program. His primary teachers include James Darling of the Cleveland Orchestra, Ramsn Parcells of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and currently Richard Stoelzel Professor of Trumpet, Grand Valley State University.
